We have only have two lectures but God has done soo much already - don't ask me what but something is brewing in the heavenly realm :D
The first two lectures have been about Gods character, and hearing his voice! The first day I didn't write notes really so I couldn't remember properly everything that was said.
The second day however, I learnt from that and wrote heaps of notes! It was soo cool, the speaker Johanne Blake was talking and then she stopped talking and she changed plans in obedience to the guidance of the Holy spirit! That was so cool to see because she sould have easily carried on talking!
We ended up changing and having a worship time and getting focused properly on God before we carried on with the lecture!
We read the medical account of what happend to Jesus when he died on the cross - everything he went through for us! What an amazing saviour - to face that torture because he saw a righteous future for us in him!!
Even reading that would never really help us trully understand what it was like for him!
I never want to know what life without Jesus would be like because he has given me so much hope - now to grow in shaing that with others who need to know! hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm - God please help :)
In the lecture we also got given a post card with an image like of creation, e.g. deserts and things and we all took time on our own to let God speak to us - it was amazing!
I got a picture of a cliff face with heaps of tree's around. I was asking God to help me to recognisae his voice over my thoughts and over the thoughts from the devil - and then I looked at the cliff face and saw something!
This is an encouragement for everybody - those walking with God and those who arn't:
In the cliff face I saw the shape of a lions face - I checked with God and I kept seeing this face.
The face of the lion was loving and the words came to mind loving protector.
As I flicked through the bible in the psalms some words that stood out were 'majestic' and 'great strength'
The picture that came to mind/ and thought: I thought of Azlan the lion from the narnia films, and then I saw the picture in my head of a large lion curled up and me in the middle of him resting and the lion was protecting me!
The lion is God!
God wants to love and protect each and everyone of us - if there is anyone is reading this who isn't christian, I encourage you to open up your heart to the lord because you are sooo precious to him! He adores you , he has a jealous love for you - he gets jealous when you give yourself to other things more when he has greater things for you!
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him 1 JOHN 3:1
This is the reason so many people take a stand for christ! This is the reason we want you to know too when we tell you!

Youth street was soo cool on saturday night (last night)! I got put into the skating team - which I am not good at by the way lol...
When I first heard that I didnt respond with a good attitude, but god alerted that in me and helped me to turn that around :D
I rememebered that God predestines all things, so he could use me in an area where I have no skill. Also through talking to sam who joined with our grouo yesterday, it happened the same way for her too because she is also on a skate team, she helped me too see that God is stretching me like he is her too!
I really enjoyed the skate team yesterday...I didn't skate, but it was cool to watch everyone else who was good at it, and there was one girl on the team who was the only christian out of both teams.
It was cool getting to know her! :)
One other thing I really want to grow in here is stepping out sharing who God is and what he has done for those who dont know him yet - like meeting complete strangers and being able to share Jesus with them through words and actions!!! :)
I love this blog lol - I pray that it would be encouraging for every person who reads it and I really hope that people who arn't walking with God could read it too and be encouaraged!
